Maria held a Cadets day in the afternoon and felt it would be a good idea if we extended the day to include a BBQ. Simon & Sarah took it upon themselves to do all the cooking and by the time we arrived at 19.30 everything was ready, incuding burgers, hot dogs and a large choice of salads. The message was eat as much as you wanted, so nobody left without a full stomach. In fact over 40 people turned up to what was basically a low key evening which proved very successful. All the cadets stayed on and still had plenty of energy left as they were running around the beach, the yard and the green until well after dark. Later in the evening a surprise birthday cake was presented to Amy who has just turned 10 and Lucie who has just tunrned 8. There are pictures further down of Amy being given the bumps for her birthday.
