August Bank Holiday weekend, weather wise is often a hit and miss affair especially after the summer we have been having so far. So it was good news that we were able to erect the marquee in the club yard for a social evening with a difference. Simon Pryce, the social secretary,decided that he would put on a 'do' on the eve of the August cup racing on the Sunday. He prepared a high class Buffet meal that was layed out in the Marquee. Live entertainment was provided by the popular group 'High Tide', who set up in the club house. It was decided that the theme for the evening was ' dress to impress ' and I'm pleased to say that some of those attending were very impressive on the night. Due to a mild evening the outside area's were used to the full which also allowed more space inside for the more energetic to hit the dance floor.
Thanks to Simon and Sarah for their hard work to make the Saturday night a success, and as always a big thankyou to Chris Millard for running the bar.
