Halloween Night
October 31st 2009

Thirty five to forty members gathered in the clubhouse to mark Hallowe'en with a supper of local mussels and crusty bread, ably cooked and served by Gary and Kay, who had also spent a considerable time in the afternoon preparing them. The mussels were donated by Dave Hancock who runs the mussel farm, anchored out in the bay. They were very tasty and most people had two servings. The clubhouse was suitable decorated with little orange white and black masks and bunches of balloons strung around and the conversation flowed, if not the wine. I didn't see many ghosts ghouls or beasties about but a few people had taken the trouble to try and dress for the occasion.
