For the 3rd year running the Porthpean has hosted the Tasar SW Area Championships and for the 3rd year running we have been blessed with good weather. However this year the wind was very light, so the sailing wasn’t quite so exciting for the onlookers as in previous years.

The social on the Saturday evening, fortunately was just as good. Once again Simon Pryce proved to be the Master Chef with the BBQ and there was sufficient to keep us all well fed, especially with the side salad that was provided by Maria & Ray and other helpers.

Live music was booked and making their first appearance at the Club was a duo from the Johnny Fuller Combo. Normally this is a 5 piece group but we had the budget version but they went down really well in the well attended Clubhouse. The sailing might have been frustrating but the food and drink went down well and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.
