I suppose that every member of PSC knows by now that Jeremy & Suzanne Hawkins won the Tasar Nationals on the weekend 3-5 June at Whitstable. The conditions were very demanding, with many of the fleet retiring with broken equipment on day 1. They ended the day in the lead when they scored 2nd in the 1st race and then despite a capsize in race 2 they went on to claim victory. 2 more wins and a second on the 2nd day, put them in an almost unassailable position, which turned them into Champions when all racing on the 3rd day was abandoned due the weather deteriorating even further. To celebrate their win a party was held after the racing on Wednesday, when we were all treated to a glass of bubbly and some food that had been generously donated by many of the members.
