Again it was ten pin bowling. Pete Barnes ( Social Sec. ) booked 3 lanes at Ozzel Bowl, St Austell and in no time, 24 people had signed up to chance their arm (literally). Half the crowd met at Wetherspoons beforehand to talk tactics, ok not really but for pre- bowl drinks.

Once the Bowling started depending who you were was how it was approached. Some very serious, some for fun, some good, some not so good. Watching the way the balls were sent down the lanes I was sure that some of us had been inspired by the bouncing bombs in the Dambusters film !! Of the 3 lanes booked Ken Fobbester was the individual winner and lane 3 were the team winners. Well done to all. Another great night which showed that the Porthpean Social scene is alive and well.
