Following on from the changed format for the laying up supper last year, it was again decided to have a meal in December and prizegiving in January.

And so it was that 31 club members signed up for a Christmas meal at The Britannia Inn. All gathered in the bar area at the Britannia before moving through to the dining area for a 7.30pm meal. To make life easier for all, I had place settings organised with what individuals had requested for their preferred meal. This was a great help as most people had forgotten what they had ordered weeks ago when the evening was first organised.

A really good meal was enjoyed by all, made better by the jovial atmosphere. Thomas Daza gave a guest spot of telling jokes ( obtained from the Christmas crackers ). A good start to the festive season.
