2018 Fitting Out Supper

On the eve of the 2018 start of BST 34 members gathered to sample yet another of Tony’s gastro sumptuous meals. The meal tonight was designed and cooked by Tony and he called it “my Mediterranean Medley ", consisting of Chicken & Chorizo in Tomatoes with peppers, Cannellini beans, courgettes and spinach.( + other things ), with a side serving of broccoli.. It was very delicious and even me, a fussy eater, went back for some seconds. Finally the meal was finished off with Apple Strudel and Custard and that too tasted very, very nice.

A very humorous yet taxing 30 question quiz followed before the grand finale which was a giant firework that Tony had bought earlier in the year. Fortunately the rain that we had during the day and early evening petered out and the conditions were perfect. The monster firework was lit and then accompanied by many whooshes, fired numerous rockets skywards and each one burst with a bang and a shower of coloured sparkly lights. Very impressive to watch. The theme for the evening was stripes as you may notice when looking at the photographs that most people are adorned in stripy clothes.
