Porthpean Sailing Club

2018 May 27th Social

Sometimes an impromptu "Do" turns out to be a winner and that's what happened at the Sailing club last night.

An early summer BBQ had been organised at Porthpean but mother nature stepped in to put the dampers on that idea. Thunderstorms were not on the agenda but they did try to gate crash the event; cue a re-organisation and a last minute Social night was arranged and what a good night it turned out to be.

Thanks must go to Stacey for providing the music with a snazzy music centre / amplifier setup, and to Tony for bringing along Balloons and an indoor Quoits set. Food was provided with a typical Porthpean DIY Buffet (Thanks all).

It's not always a packed clubhouse that is guaranteed success but the lively crowd that gathered certainly had a good evening to remember. Plenty of laughs and merriment was had by all.

The Thunderstorm that put on a lightening display out in St Austell Bay was equally matched by the entertainment in the clubhouse.

Thanks Tony, our Social Secretary, for another successful and fun packed evening.
