It's not always the technical things that work out the best. That sentence certainly sums up the game I had sorted for the August Social at the club. I had made a large target on a board similar to a dartboard but one metre wide. Lynn made some small bean bags to throw at the target which had been
placed on the floor. Numbers on the circles gave scores. Teams played against each other and the eventual winning duo were Dave and Sue Gande. ( Well Done ). Time then for another simple idea but enjoyed by all. Jelly and Ice cream. Some stating that it was years since they had had such food ! I had made plenty of jellies of different flavours so there was enough for seconds for those that wished. Finally it was time for a quiz. This was a slightly different format to previous quizzes but again was enjoyed by all. I'm not mentioning the winning team but they were standing at the Bar !! All in all a good night at Porthpean for those that attended. A simple game, simple food followed by a fun quizz. What a night. No photo's this time. I was too busy playing games, eating Jelly and ice cream and being Quiz master. Note to myself.......... Must delegate Tony Soc.Sec. |
