Fitting Out Supper
23rd March 2019

The start of the 2019 sailing season starts today and as such the curtain raiser is the traditional Fitting Out Supper on the night before.
I had decided that the menu for the evening would be a Chilli with Flatbread followed by Plum Crumble and ice cream. After advertising the 'Do', 40 eager club members and guests signed up for the night. As the day approached Lynn and I started to buy in what was needed and eventually started the 'Big Cook'.
All gathered in the clubhouse on time and were ready to eat by 7.30pm. Some who did not like Chilli were served the option which was Quorn and Mushroom Cottage Pie.
Both the main and dessert were devoured and judging by the clean plates that came back to the Galley the food seemed to go down well !!
There were no games or quizes to follow just convivial chat among friends. Some no doubt thinking and talking about the sailing in 2019.
A good night at Porthpean.
I must mention those that helped to clear up after the meal, it was much appreciated, thank you.
Paddy was on hand to take a few photo's of the evening.
