Quiz nights are usually a chance to get the old ? Grey cells working in a good social environment. To that end I organised a general knowledge quiz as the April Social at the sailing club.
Lynn and I had decided beforehand to put a few nibbles on the tables. Thinking at one stage that crisps and peanuts would do, I put out the usual emails to club members.
This is where we ( Lynn and I ) started to get carried away. Lynn wanted to try a few new cake recipes etc. and I was all for making some savouries.
So on the day we set about putting together plates of cakes and other goodies.
I had decided that as Quizmaster I should dress for the part, some might say I went a bit OTT but it was to be a fun evening so why not.
The club was soon full of eager quizzes waiting to be tested. I had decided to do the quiz in two parts with a break in the middle for food to be served. At the interval I also distributed a picture quiz that Lynn had compiled. Glasses were re-filled and after the second section and scores were counted there was a winning team.
This was the combination of The Kendals and Wingroves. Andrew & Jenny had brought along a couple of friends for the evening which was nice to see, but were they professional quizzes !!
All in all I enjoyed the nights fun and hopefully those attending thought the same.

What a lovely time, the quiz was excellent and the homemade half time nibbles were very tasty. A goodtime was had by all.
