This annual event is eagerly awaited during the year as it signals for some the start of the festive season. The Christmas Dinner this year unfortunately clashed on the social calendar for some and so numbers that attended The Britannia inn were down on previous festive feasts.
It was a busy night for The Britannia and as we gathered from 7.30 pm for an 8 pm meal the place was full of folk enjoying themselves. We were promptly called to our reserved tables in a dining room just off the main bar. This was quieter and made conversation easier.
One thing the Britannia is known for is good food and tonight they didn't disappoint. Various choices had been ordered and all seemedhappy with their lot.
Food and drinks were consumed and the banter among guests made for an easy enjoyable night.
