Games night in the clubhouse? No.
Quiz night in the clubhouse? No.
Can we do anything in the clubhouse for a Social night and have fun? No. What we can do though is get together via the internet and technology and make the best of things. Covid-19 has put a strain on us all but we won't be beaten. We had a quiz in April by way of Zoom and so using this method we got together again to have a light hearted Quiz. When we can't get together to make teams we have to go it alone or family 'Bubbles'. So Saturday saw us all 'click' on to our computers to see if our memory cells were up to the task. I didn't want to put folk off by making it too hard so set the questions at a moderate level. Winning was never about getting a big trophy or box of chocolates (well it might have been for some), No, it was being able to get together on a bleak November evening and having some fun. There's not much I can type to make the next bit interesting so here goes.... I asked questions and the participants wrote down hopefully the correct answers. Once we had the answers read out and scores added up we had a winning 'Team'. Now the grand finale, 33 questions were asked and with a highly respectable score of 29 and winners of this November Quiz were Peter and Jenny Pope. This, of course brought a huge round of applause across our screens. In joint 2nd place were Mike & Mandy Voyzey and Dave & Sue Gande. Thanks to all that logged on to the quiz and took part. I enjoyed setting the questions and seeing you all struggle to answer them! Lets hope that in 2021 we can all get together in the clubhouse for more socials. Tony. Soc.Sec |
