The usual ever popular annual fish & chip supper took place on Saturday and for once the attendance was quite low. In fact it was the lowest social numbers for some years. Nevertheless we still had a happy cliental who sat down to consume the pre ordered fish & chips from Fernley’s chip shop. We all benefitted from a very nice bonus when Jan produced an apple crumble that she had cooked that afternoon. The crumble was accompanied by either custard or runny cream. Whichever combination was chosen it still tasted mighty good. The meal was followed by a brain taxing quiz set by our quiz master for the night Pete Barnes. The quiz consisted of general knowledge, maths and celebrity pictures.

A big thanks was given to Pete & Jan who had organised the evening.

This was the first time that some of the club members had seen the new kitchen and all, without exception, were very impressed. There will be a full feature on the kitchen appearing on the web site soon, listed under projects.
