Club Walk February 2006

Eighteen club members, including hangers-on, guests, groupies and sycophants, together with a number of dogs, took part in this popular circular walk from Fowey. We crossed over the Boddinick Ferry, with many of us visibly excited at having salt water beneath our feet again. Some people, even though they were standing next to the ferry, managed to miss it. Perhaps they were waiting for the 5,4,1 GO! signal.

The weather was bright, but the wind chill made it bitterly cold.

Some people wore so much clothing that they were actually difficult to recognise. The route took us along the Eastern bank of the Fowey river, providing some beautiful views, and we eventually arrived at the pub in Polruan just in time for a pub lunch. Once fed and watered, we took the Polruan ferry back to our starting point. Some people had left earlier. Apparently there is a game called 'rugby' that they wanted to watch on television.

Thanks to Tony for getting everyone together for a super winters day out.
