10 of us met outside the Aquarium at Mevagissey, as planned, on a windy but dry Sunday Morning. Considering
that it was still February, the weather was very mild, however we were all dressed for the muddy coditions to come. Not for us a GSD to plot our course,
but rather an ordinance survey map. At 11.00 as planned Tony Dunn lead the troops upwards & onwards out of Mevagissey
up the steps & out towards our destination, Chapel Point. A quick halt was called at Port Mellon for 4 more members
who were scurrying to catch us up. After various greetings & remarks about time keeping, we as a larger group
then set off to circumnavigate Chapel Point.
Our most easterly point saw us passing the isolated buildings which are rumoured to become the property of a
certain Robbie Williams. The circular walk eventually brought us back to Port Mellon & after walking about 4 miles and 1 3/4
hours we arrived back in Mevagissey, where we all made a bee line into "The Ship" public house for lunch &
a well deserved drink or two. The fresh wind, cold at times, reminded us that the sailing season starts again in
only 3 weeks time. Hopefully it won't be too cold.
