Story of the Rescue Boat Shed 2001

Our master builder, Colin Wainwright, produced some plans for a new shed. The plans were for a simple wooden framework covered with aluminium cladding. The project was costed, agreed by the committee and the necessary funds provided. Colin went shopping for various lengths of timber and the necessary sheeting to build the shed.

Colin who was ably helped in his task by Stuart Page, set to work with the project. The area was marked out, foundations dug, and base laid. The shed has 6 frames. These were positioned and secured. The cladding was cut to size and fitted to the frames. and within a short space of time the shed appeared. Below are a series of pictures taken by Stuart over the course of the construction.

The pictures can be enlarged by clicking on them.
